DDP, also called Dolby Digital Plus or DD+, is a very common multichannel audio format for streaming releases. It is more suitable for online distribution than older AC3, keeps size manageable, and can carry Atmos metadata. Many Web-DL episodes and new films use DDP 5.1 or DDP Atmos. It is not lossless like TrueHD, but it is practical for most TVs, boxes and streaming-style viewing.
