HDR10 is the common baseline HDR format and a default high-dynamic-range signal for many 4K releases. It provides wider brightness and color range than SDR and is usually more compatible than Dolby Vision or HDR10+. It is not dynamic HDR, but on HDR-capable displays it remains an important quality signal. Treat it as a baseline HDR marker, then compare source, codec and audio.
