Remux means the video, audio and subtitle tracks are repackaged from the disc into a playback-friendly file. The main video and premium audio tracks are usually not recompressed, so detail, shadow range, HDR information and surround audio stay closer to the Blu-ray source. The tradeoff is file size: storage, bandwidth and playback hardware matter more. Compared with WEB-DL, WEBRip or BDRip, Remux is better suited to large screens, projectors, home theater setups and quality-first viewing.
